Ike part two.

Thought we had better put out another post before we leave, in case we don’t have internet again. We have survived Ike and survived it well; no injuries and only a couple of holes in the storage shed. Can’t say the rest of the neighborhood faired as well. Multiple neighbors had significant damage due to the wind felling all the gigantic pine trees in the neighborhood. We have spent the last couple of days recovering: picking up tree limbs, fetching ice, trying to fix generators and accumulating fowl body stench. Like most the rest of Houston we are still powerless and expect to be for a little while yet. Hopefully we will have power before we leave for Ukraine on Sunday. I will try to post some pictures and a video of the storm soon. We are thanking God things have turned out as good as they have.
